foto prof. dr. Benedict Wilmes Prof. Dr. Benedict Wilmes - University of Duesseldorf, Germany - Department of Orthodontics

Dr. Wilmes did a postgraduate training in oral surgery at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Muenster, Germany. Subsequently, he received a postgraduate degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of the Duesseldorf, Germany. In 2013 he became Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Duesseldorf. Dr. Wilmes is author of more than 100 articles and textbook chapters. He is reviewer of numerous journals and has held more than 300 lectures and courses in 60 different countries all over the world. His primary interest is in the area of non-compliant and invisible orthodontic treatment strategies (TADs, lingual orthodontics and aligner). Dr. Wilmes was awarded the First Prize of the German Orthodontic Society in 2007, the First Prize of the European Orthodontic Society in 2009. Dr. Wilmes is an Active Member of the Angle Society (Eastern Component).

Christos Katsaros is Professor and Chair at the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, University of Bern, Switzerland since 2008. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and received his 4-year orthodontic postgraduate training at the University of Saarland, Germany, where he also completed his doctoral thesis and his “Habilitation”. Professor Katsaros worked also as a researcher at the Göteborg University, Sweden, where he completed a Ph.D.. From 2000 to 2002 he served as an Associate Professor and from 2002 to 2008 as a Professor of Orthodontics at the Department of Orthodontics and Oral Biology, Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. His current research interests include the elucidation of the molecular mechanisms that control face development and wound healing in CLP as well as the prevention and therapy of gingival recession in orthodontic patients. He serves as Associate Editor for the AJO-DO, as Section Editor Dentistry for the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal and he is editorial board member or reviewer for several international scientific journals. He is Council member and Past President of the European Orthodontic Society (EOS) and an Active Member of the Angle Society of Europe.

Muhammad Ruslin, was born in Pangkajene, Indonesia. He is currently an Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University. He is also a Consultant of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Hasanuddin University Hospital and Dental Hospital Hasanuddin University. He graduated his Bachelor and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia in 2000 and obtained a Master Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Faculty of Medical, University of Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia in 2009. He had his residency training at Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Faculty of Dentistry, University of Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia (2003-2009), he registered as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon by Indonesian College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2009, and he registered as Consultant of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by Indonesian College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2017. He did a visiting research fellow in Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Graduate School of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences for Research, University of Toyama (Prof. Makoto Noguchi, DDS., PhD) (2014. Jan-Mar). He did a Clinical Fellow in Department of Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taouyuan, Taiwan (Prof. Lun Jou Lo.) (2015). He graduated his PhD from Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Oral Pathology, VU University Medical Center/Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Promotor Prof. Tymour Forouzanfar, MD., DDS., PhD., and copromotors Prof. D. Bram Tuinzing, DMD and Paolo Boffano, MD., PhD) in 2019. His research and clinical interests include oromaxillofacial trauma, congenital anomalies, dentofacial deformities, temporomandibular joint disorders, stem cells/tissue engineering and surgical implants. He has established Celebes Cleft Center Foundation in 2011 as non-profit organization. He did as Director of Dental Hospital Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia (2015-2019). He has been the councilor at International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the vice chairman of the Indonesian College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is currently the Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia (2019-Now).

Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Narmada, drg., Sp.Ort(K) - senior Head of  the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University Airlangga, Indonesia

Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Narmada graduated from Faculty of Dental Medicine Airlangga University in 1980. He completed his orthodontic residency at Faculty of Dental Medicine Airlangga University. Later in 2000, he continued his studies and received a Ph.D in Clinical Orthodontics Faculty of Medicine Airlangga University. In addition to having written and published numerous scientific articles in variousprestigious international journals, he maintains a private practice and is currently a senior Head of  the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University Airlangga. International member of AAO, APOC, IADR, and National member Indonesian Association of Orthodontic as a vice President.

Rolf van Mierlo fotoRolf van Mierlo - M2 Tandartsen

Rolf is sinds 1985 tandarts en één van de oprichters van M2 tandartsen. Hij is restauratief tandarts (NVVRT) en prosthodontist (EPA). 

Behalve tandarts en zorgondernemer is Rolf van Mierlo ook docent en spreker voor collega’s in het postacademisch onderwijs. Al lange tijd geeft hij trainingen in management en praktijkvoering, wat hem zelf ook scherphoudt. In de loop der jaren zijn van zijn hand vele publicaties. Ook is hij mede-auteur van het eerste boek in zijn soort “ de Winstgevende Tandartspraktijk”.

 

MariekeMarieke Bakker - Rechtetanden.nl

Marieke is orthodontist. Na het succesvol afronden van haar tandartsopleiding aan de ACTA te Amsterdam, specialiseerde zij zich aan het UMC te Nijmegen als orthodontist. Direct na haar afstuderen leidde zij een orthodontiepraktijk in Amsterdam en in Leiden. Marieke is sinds 2004 werkzaam bij Rechtetanden.nl. Als orthodontist is zij ook aangesloten bij het Chirurgische-orthodontie team aan het AZVU te Amsterdam. 
Marieke is gecertificeerd Invisalign specialist.
